Private group cooking classes and team building
Janine teaches private group cooking classes at Pinecone Meadow Farm, an 1881 farm house in lovely Fennville, Michigan, a two-hour drive from Chicago. Since we’re situated in Michigan’s orchard belt, classes might include a visit to a farm stand, winery or goat cheese farm, or a tour of a farmers market. After a hands-on cooking class, we’ll gather at the table for a leisurely meal. Your menu will be customized based on what’s popping out of the ground as each season unfolds.
If yours is a business group, we can include an al fresco brainstorm or strategy session to kick off a project, or simply cook together to celebrate a success. Finish off with s’mores around the campfire.
If you have a group of eight to ten people, give a call. 312.492.9343.
Reach out to the home cook
After years as a public relations consultant, Janine brings a strategic mindset to her culinary offerings. Boost your brand’s connection to home cooks with insights, trends analysis, blogger engagement, or just a handful of delicious recipes. Janine’s own recipes have appeared in magazines like Relish, Midwest Living and Country Home, and she has cooked up custom recipes for oatmeal, milk, cheese, mushrooms and other delicious ingredients.
And if writing is what you need, Janine can create bright-and-brief ad copy, or in-depth materials designed to inspire your audience to get into the kitchen. Janine served as contributing editor for the Slow Food Guide to Chicago and Celebrated Chefs, and her book Seasonal Markets of the Heartland, will be published by University of Illinois Press next year.
